Abstract
Objectives: This study was carried out to investigate the effects of Bee-venom and Cheongyeolsaseup-tang(Qingrexieshi-tang) extract on type ¥± collagen-induced arthritis rats. Then, we compare separateness with combination of Bee-venom and Cheongyeolsaseup-tang(Qingrexieshi-tang).

Methods: We observed inhibitory effect of edema, analgesic effects by hot plate, analysis of blood chemistry(WBC, ALT, AST), western blot(IL-6, cPLA2), histopathological and radiological changes.

Results: Bee-venom and Cheongyeolsaseup-tang(Qingrexieshi-tang) extract significantly inhibited the rate of paw edema compared with control group and reduced WBC, the time of heat threshold, AST(Asparatate transaminase), ALT(Alanine transaminase), the mass of IL-6, cPLA2 in synovia compared with control group in immunological test. On the histopathological view, all experimental groups were relieved and reproduced the erosion of arthritic site compared with control group. On the radiological view, all experimental groups were improved.

Conclusions: Bee-venom and Cheongyeolsaseup-tang(Qingrexieshi-tang) can be used for curing rheumatoid arthritis. Anti-inflammatory effects may be somewhat better in combination of BV and CST.
